Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi River. Its total area is 58,910 square miles. In all, Georgia has five regions: the Appalachian Mountains, Blue Ridge, the Ridge and Valley, the Piedmont Plateau, and the Coastal Plain.
The Appalachian Mountains are located at the top northwest corner of Georgia. Many birches, oak, and beech trees cover these low mountains. The Piedmont Plateau and the Appalachian Mountains put together is about thirty percent of Georgia.
The Blue Ridge Region makes up only five percent of the state. This region includes the Blue Ridge Mountains and the neighboring valley. Brasstown Bald is the highest point in Georgia. This mountain rises 4,784 feet above sea level. The Blue Ridge region also has many forests, deep river valleys, and small waterfalls.
From Our Homebuyers
Thank you Tommy for always being available and responsive throughout the entire process. The time frame to build was standard with new construction so I was not surprised at the time it took to build. I was very pleased with the transparency from start to finish. The home is beautiful and the neighborhood is perfect for us. Reliant Homes upgrades and overall build quality far exceeds other builders product. We are so happy that we went with Reliant Homes!
